STAINLESSS STEEL Stainless steel is an alloy steel which has at least 11% chromium content. The chromium makes the steel “Stainless” and the higher the chromium, the better the corrosion resistance.   Stainless steel has better corrosion resistance is due to a chromium oxide film that is formed on the steel surface. This thin & invisible layer, under the right conditions, is self-repairing (above 14 hours to recover the passive layer). This is how the natural beauty of SUS will remain unchanged.   There are 4 types of stainless steel available in the market:-   i)     AUSTENITIC – 300 series ii)    MARTENSITIC – 400 series iii)   DUPLEX iv)   FERRITIC
